Week 9 Rankings – RB

Last week’s new number 1 retains the top spot. Read on to find out the best options to start and sit for an important week 9.

RB (Opponent in Parenthesis)

1. Jamaal Charles (@BUF) – Despite leaving with an injury, (and subsequently returning) Charles’ still had over 100 total yards.

He's questionable... but he's playing

He’s questionable… but he’s playing

2. Adrian Peterson (@DAL) – Last year’s MVP is averaging 50 yards per game over his past 3

3. Marshawn Lynch (TB) – He was complete shutdown by the Rams last week but he’ll bounce back in a big way on Sunday

4. LeSean McCoy (@OAK) – Despite 2 poor outing in a row, McCoy is still too talented to stay down for long.

5. Matt Forte (@GB) – He’s going to need to carry his team because Josh McCown certainly isn’t going to do it

6. Demarco Murray (MIN) – Eddie Lacy had 94 yards and a touchdown vs. Minnesota last week. I envision similar numbers for Murray on Sunday

7. Eddie Lacy (CHI) – Speaking of Lacy, he’s quickly emerging as the front runner for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

8. Stevan Ridley (PIT) – While Ridley is struggling to get carries (thanks a lot LeGarrette Blount) he’s making the most of them with 4 touchdowns in his last 3 games.

Will he find the end-zone yet again? I say yes

Will he find the end-zone yet again? I say yes

9. Alfred Morris (SD) – While his team isn’t winning, Morris keeps producing and remains a top back until he stops.

10. Le’Veon Bell (@NE) – The Patriots have the second worst run defense in the NFL thanks to injuries to Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo. Bell should take advantage this weekend.

11. Arian Foster (IND) – This ranking hinges on whether he plays or not. Foster is officially listed as questionable

12. Ray Rice (@CLE) – The highest yardage total Rice has reached this year is 74 yards.

13. Darren Mcfadden (PHI) – Many people were extremely low on DMC coming into the year, but last week he posted his 4th game of the year with double digit fantasy points

14. Zac Stacy (TEN) – If you gain 134 yards against the Seahawks on Monday Night Football with Kellen Clemens as your quarterback you deserve respect. And lots of it.

15. Fred Jackson (KC) – I don’t want any part of the Chiefs defense, ever.

16. Ryan Matthews (@WSH) – Before the bye, Matthews put up 2 games in a row with 100+ rushing yards.

Can he make it 3 in a row?

Can he make it 3 in a row?

17. Trent Richardson (@HOU) – Despite getting double digit carries in every single game this year, Richardson has yet to exceed 60 yards rushing.

18. Chris Johnson (@STL) – He doesn’t have a rushing touchdown or 100 rushing yards in any game this season.

19. Deangelo Williams (ATL) – Jonathan Stewart is coming back and Mike Tolbert is stealing the goal-line touches so it’s tough to find positive with Williams other than his work between the 20’s.

20. Giovani Bernard (@MIA) – He hasn’t scored a TD in his past 2 games but I believe he finds the end-zone this week against Miami
