Wrapping up: Thursday Night Football
Bills at Browns: A game that started with two young and exciting quarterbacks, (E.J. Manuel and Brian Hoyer) finished with signal-callers that were much more dull (Jeff Tuel and Brandon Weeden). While Tuel hasn’t proved yet if belongs in the NFL, he sure didn’t belong in college as Washington St. had a 4-22 with him under center. Brandon Weeden on the other hand has already proven he doesn’t belong as a starter in the NFL so no need to go in-depth there. However, the 29 year old Browns QB (yes, Weeden is 29) made a pair of really nice throws to Greg Little and Josh Gordon on the same drive to lead Cleveland to a much needed touchdown. Once Tuel entered the game for the Bills they had almost no shot at winning. He finished the night 8/20 for 80 yards and a game ending pick 6. The Browns fear that Brian Hoyer tore ligaments in his knee while Buffalo reported that Manuel suffered a knee sprain; both are situations to monitor carefully. One last note: C.J. Spiller finally scored his first touchdown of the year on a 53 yard scamper to open the second half.
