-The Bears signed free agent DE Jared Allen to a 4 year, $32 million deal

-The Dolphins are trying to trade WR Mike Wallace, just one year after signing him to a 5 year, $60 million dollar deal

-Roger Goodell says support for expanded for expanded playoffs is “tremendous”

-The Buccaneers signed former Raiders WR Louis Murphy

NBA

-The Pacers beat the Heat 84-83. Miami falls 3 games back in the Eastern Conference standings

-Dion Waiters hits a game winner to beat the Pistons. The Cavaliers have now won 3 straight

-Returning from ACL surgery, Rajon Rondo has sat out the second night of back to backs all season. On March 31st (second night of a back to back) Rondo will serve as a special broadcasting analyst for CSNNE.

MLB

-Clayton Kershaw has been scratched from his next start with upper back problems. Return timetable unknown

-Giants RP Jeremy Affeldt is headed to the DL with MCL sprain

-The Rangers released pitcher Tommy Hanson. Quite a downward spiral for him these past 3 years

-Twins top prospect Byron Buxton will open the season on the DL. Injured left wrist

-The Angels released Joe Blanton. He has $8.5 million remaining on his contract and will still get paid the full sum

-Pirates outfield Starling Marte and the team have reached a 6 year, $31 million extension
