1. Florida vs. 16 Albany/MSM
-Florida is the best team in the country (number 1 overall seed confirms that) and should walk through the first round.
2. Kansas vs. 15. Eastern Kentucky
-Even if Embiid doesn’t play in this game Kansas should have no trouble in round 1.
3. Syracuse vs. 14 Western Michigan
-Syracuse needs to shake the losing bug because while the first matchup isn’t too difficult, the rest of the bracket is.
4 UCLA vs. 13 Tulsa
-Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams will be too much for an un-athletic team in Tulsa
5. VCU vs. 12. Stephen F. Austin
-Intriguing matchup here: VCU lost today to Saint Joseph’s and Stephen F. Austin has won 28 games in a row.
6. Ohio State vs. 11. Dayton
-The Buckeyes aren’t good at defending perimeter and Dayton has lots of 3 point shooting. Bad matchup for Ohio State but they have much more talent.
7. New Mexico vs 10. Stanford
-The Cardinal will struggle against the size of New Mexico.
8. Colorado vs. 9. Pittsburgh
-Colorado will be without their best player Spencer Dinwiddie and will struggle mightily to score against Pittsburgh who owns one of the best defenses in the nation.
