Many times, an NFL game comes down to the leg of a kicker. Even more often, a fantasy game comes down to the leg of the kicker. In both cases, it is best to be prepared. And in both cases, it is best to have Justin Tucker.
Let me explain.
Tucker currently leads the NFL with 35 field goals made (out of 37) and his 94.5% is among league leaders as well. Not only does Tucker’s name appear first in virtually every kicking category of 2013, he also has split 33 consecutive uprights.
Mike Vanderjagt holds the NFL record for 42 makes in a row (albeit over the course of three seasons), but with Tucker’s leg, it’s within the realm of possibility that he breaks that mark even this year.
The Ravens’ kicker had the best game of his career in a crucial matchup for the defending champs on Monday Night Football. With Baltimore’s offense lacking rhythm all evening, Tucker bailed them out by going 6/6 on field goal attempts including a game winning 61-yarder. All though, It was hardly a new situation for the young kicker. While playing at the University of Texas during the 2011 season, Justin kicked the winning field goal against rival Texas A&M which culminated a 118 year rivalry.
