Week 8 Rankings – RB

With 6 teams on a bye this week, many of you will be scrambling to find running back replacements. Make sure you take a close look at these rankings so you know your best possible options going into a pivotal week 8.

RB (Opponent in Parenthesis)

1. Jamaal Charles (CLE) – He’s scored at least 15 fantasy points in each game so far this year; worthy of the top spot in the RB rankings

Consistency? Check.

2. Marshawn Lynch (@STL) – Expect the Seahawks to pound the rock on the road against the Rams

3. Adrian Peterson (GB) – The talent is still there, but his supporting cast has slowly faded

4. LeSean McCoy (NYG) – The Eagles have lost 9 straight home games, Shady McCoy will try to stop that streak this week

5. Reggie Bush (DAL) – The Cowboys D is really banged up and Bush should take advantage of that in a way LeSean McCoy didn’t last week

6. Knowshon Moreno (WSH) – The Redskins are giving up 22 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs

Perfect matchup for Moreno on Sunday

7. Frank Gore (@JAC) – Gore has really turned his season around after a poor start. Even though this game is “at” Jacksonville, it will actually be played in London

8. Alfred Morris (@DEN) – The Broncos defense stinks, but I worry that Washington will be behind and be forced to throw too much for Morris to be effective

9. Stevan Ridley (MIA) – He’s averaging 16 fantasy points in his last 2 games and seems like he has turned the page on a rough start to the season

10. Eddie Lacy (@MIN) – Aaron Rodgers will rely more and more on Lacy because he’s missing so many key targets

11. Le’Veon Bell (@OAK) – Bell is averaging 17 carries per game which shows the Steelers trust him with a big workload

Great matchup for Bell as well

12. Fred Jackson (@NO) – In their last game, the Saints gave up 99 yards and 2 touchdowns to Stevan Ridley

13. Giovani Bernard (NYJ) – While I don’t love the matchup against the Jets, I still think Bernard quietly has a nice day

14. Joseph Randle (@DET) – I’m still on the bandwagon! He got 19 carries last week and with Demarco Murray’s status still in doubt, expect a similarly large workload this week

15. Darren Mcfadden (PIT) – He’s had a week to rest and get healthy so we’ll see if that pays dividends this week

16. Zac Stacy (SEA) – He’s been quietly posting solid numbers for the past few weeks

17. Deangelo Williams (@TB) – He’s had a ton of carries so far this year, but still has yet to reach the end-zone

18. Darren Sproles (BUF) – Should be able to exploit the Bills in both the running and passing game

19. Mike James (CAR) – Better known as Doug Martin’s replacement. He’ll have a solid game on Thursday night

20. Steven Jackson (@ARI) – This obviously hinges on if he plays or not, but early reports are encouraging

First five out: Maurice Jones-Drew, C.J. Spiller, Andre Ellington, Chris Ivory, Pierre Thomas
