Wrapping Up: Sunday Night Football

Broncos at Colts: In the most anticipated matchup of the day, Andrew Luck outplayed Peyton Manning to improve the Colts to 5-2 and knock the Broncos down to 6-1. Luck totaled 257 yards and 4 touchdowns while Manning threw for 3 TD’s but turned the ball over twice. Eric Decker and both Thomas’s scored for Denver, but Wes Welker failed to reach the end-zone for the first time all year. Despite an incredible win, it was not all roses for Indianapolis as Reggie Wayne left in the 4th quarter with an apparent knee injury, the severity of which is not yet known. The Colts really cemented themselves as Super Bowl contenders today as they have now beaten 3 of the best teams in the NFL with wins over San Francisco, Seattle, and Denver. As for the Broncos, they’re not going anywhere. However, they now sit 1 game back of the Chiefs in the AFC West. Who would have thought that Kansas City, the worst team in the league last year, would be the lone remaining unbeaten squad heading into week 8?

Reggie Wayne has played in 189 straight games, 3rd most all time for a WR, but that streak is in jeopardy with the knee injury he suffered tonight
