Week 7 Rankings – WR

With Calvin Johnson still not 100% (although he’s getting closer) the wide receiver rankings are a little out of whack again this week. Without further ado…

WR

Opponent in Parenthesis

1. A.J. Green (@DET) – Finally put up 100 receiving yards last week and I expect him to do it again… and then some

We have a new number 1 for the second straight week at WR

2. Dez Bryant (@PHI) – Romo to Bryant is starting to sound like one of the best QB-WR combos in the league

3. Brandon Marshall (@WSH) – The Redskins defense is bad and Marshall is good, you do the math

4. Demaryius Thomas (@IND) – He’s going to have to have a big game for Peyton to beat his former team

5. DeSean Jackson (DAL) – Nick Foles loves Jackson almost as much as Jackson loves Nick Foles

6. Victor Cruz (MIN) – He’s been quiet for a few weeks now, but I expect him to turn it around and the Giants to get their first win

7. Wes Welker (@IND) – He continued his impressive streak of at least 1 touchdown in every game so far this year last week

8. Jordy Nelson (CLE) – Expect a lot more targets and receptions with Cobb and possibly Jones sidelined

9. Calvin Johnson (CIN) – This ranking all depends on health

10. Vincent Jackson (@ATL) – Mike Glennon has found a favorite target

11. Reggie Wayne (DEN) – Lots of passes will be thrown in this game, and Wayne will catch the majority of them

12. Josh Gordon (@GB) – The big play threat is always there which is very exciting to think about

13. Justin Blackmon (SD) – Wow, who expected this start for Blackmon?

190 yards vs Denver last week was a very nice surprise

14. Pierre Garcon (CHI) – RGIII has a lot of confidence in Garcon and it shows on the field

15. Antonio Brown (BAL) – Big Ben’s favorite target will have another solid game this week

16. Eric Decker (@IND) – If you’re a starting Broncos receiver, you’re a starting fantasy receiver

17. Andre Johnson (@KC) – Starting QB Case Keenum will certainly look his way, but will he be able to get the ball there enough?

18. Torrey Smith (@PIT) – The Steelers almost always shutdown the best receiver on the opposing team

The Steelers have held the likes of AJ Green and Brandon Marshall in check this year already

19. Larry Fitzgerald (SEA) – Don’t love this matchup against the Seahawks on a Thursday night

20. Hakeem Nicks (MIN) – All the talk on Nicks lately are the trade rumors, not his actual play

First five out: Steve Smith, Mike Wallace, Keenan Allen, Alshon Jeffery, T.Y. Hilton
