Week 7 Rankings – RB

Last week, some high profile backs finally broke-out of their slumps (Stevan Ridley) and some continued to struggle (Chris Johnson). In my week 7 rankings I’ll try to give you a view of who will perform well and who will not, so pay close attention. Without further ado…

RB

Opponent in Parenthesis

1. Adrian Peterson (@NYG) – He will shine on Monday Night Football this week

2. Jamaal Charles (HOU) – He has the most fantasy points among RB’s this season

Andy Reid has made life good for Charles and fantasy owners alike

3. LeSean McCoy (DAL) – With the Cowboys coming to town expect a big game for Shady McCoy

4. Marshawn Lynch (@ARI) – Questionable to play Thursday night. If he’s inactive then obviously make sure to get him out of your lineup

5. Arian Foster (@KC) – With Case Keenum starting at QB this week, Foster will be counted on to move the chains and be a strong check down receiver

6. Matt Forte (@WSH) – No one talks about Forte, but he’s quietly having a very strong season

7. Alfred Morris (CHI) – He’s been decent, not great so far. But I still believe in his homerun talent

8. Reggie Bush (CIN) – Even when Bush doesn’t run the ball well, he still is a major factor in the passing game

9. Knowshon Moreno (@IND) – Who expected this resurgence? 3 touchdowns in one game tells you all you need to know

10. Eddie Lacy (CLE) – The rookie cracks the top 10 after rushing for 120 yards against a tough Ravens defense last week

Good things to come for Lacy the rest of the season

11. Frank Gore (@TEN) – The 49ers have rededicated themselves to the running game and it’s working

12. Doug Martin (@ATL) – Here’s a back who has struggled mightily so far. The workload is there but the production isn’t

13. Ray Rice (@PIT) – The Ravens (as a team) rushed for less than 50 yards last week

14. Trent Richardson (DEN) – If the Colts are behind against Denver then T-Rich wont get very many carries

15. Stevan Ridley (@NYJ) – 99 yards and 2 TD’s characterizes a player who has finally broken out of a slump

Tough game against the Jets this week, but Ridley is playing much better now

16. Giovani Bernard (@DET) – Despite averaging 1.9 YPC last game, Bernard is still very much involved in the passing game

17. Fred Jackson (@MIA) – With Thad Lewis ailing, the Bills are going to rely heavily on the running game

18. Lamar Miller (BUF) – Inconsistency is the name of the game here, if the Dolphins want to be successful then Miller needs to step it up

19. Deangelo Williams (STL) – He’s 10th in the NFL in rushing yards and is averaging 18 carries per game

20. Joseph Randle (@PHI) – Who? Stay tuned for my Hail Mary post tomorrow.

First five out: CJ Spiller, Zac Stacy, Maurice Jones-Drew, Le’Veon Bell, Chris Johnson
