The Hail Mary, Week 4

The Hail Mary is a weekly article that will try to find you the best deep sleepers for that particular week. Use these guys if you’re desperate and need a “Hail Mary” for the week to win your league. Without further ado…

1. Ryan Broyles, WR, Lions – Nate Burleson, the Lions number 2 receiver, broke his arm in a car crash earlier this week while trying to save his pizza. No seriously, that’s what happened. While that is very unfortunate for him, it provides a great opportunity for the new number 2 guy opposite Calvin Johnson to have a big day. If you are in a deep league and are struggling to find a backup receiver to replace the likes of Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, or Steve Smith (all on bye’s) then look no further than Broyles.

Broyles has the opportunity, now he just needs to make the most of it

2. Aaron Dobson, WR, Patriots – All we heard after week 2 was about Dobson’s inability to run routes and how he was not on the same page as Tom Brady. However, week 3 was a big change. Dobson had 7 catches on 10 targets last week against the Bucs compared to 3 catches on 10 targets the week before against the Jets. With Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola both ruled out against the Falcons this week, expect another 10 targets for Dobson.

3. Brandon Bolden, RB, Patriots – In his first game back from suspension last week, Boldin posted a solid fantasy day with 51 rushing yards (only only 3 carries) and another 41 receiver yards. While he might not get those same yardage marks this Sunday, he was in for most of the Patriots’ snaps last week so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him get a goal-line carry or two.
