Wrapping up: Morning games

Rams at Falcons: We finally got to see the high-flying Falcons offense as they put up 31 points on the Rams and seemingly had this game in control from the very beginning. Keep an eye on Steven Jackson’s injury status as he left in the first quarter and never returned. Tavon Austin put on a show for St. Louis, scoring 2 touchdowns on the day.

Panthers at Bills: One of the many close games of the day, Buffalo squeaked out a 1 point victory against Carolina. C.J. Spiller eclipsed 100 rushing yards and Stevie Johnson did the same through the air. For the Panthers, Deangelo Williams carried the ball 22 times for 85 yards and Cam Newton had a mediocre performance once again.

Vikings at Bears: The Vikings defense and special teams really kept them in this game, as they scored once on each of those sides of the ball. AP and Greg Jennings each had solid games too. For Chicago, Brandon Marshall had a typical Marshall game, and Matt Forte played excellent too.

Redskins at Packers: Aaron Rodgers is the early favorite for week 2 MVP as he threw for 480 yards and 4 touchdowns. Eddie Lacy got a concussion in the first half and never returned. The big 3 for Washington had really good fantasy games but couldn’t come away with the win. RGIII was 26/40 for 320 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Pierre Garcon had 143 yards and a TD while Alfred Morris added 107 yards on the ground.

Dolphins at Colts: Both Ahmad Bradshaw and Lamar Miller had almost identical games; they had 65 and 69 rushing yards respectively to go along with a touchdown a piece. Mike Wallace finally got the ball thrown his way and made the most of it with 115 yards and a touchdown. TY Hilton had a solid game for the Colts, garnering 124 receiving yards.

Cowboys at Chiefs: The only bright spot for the Cowboys offense was Dez Bryant and his 141 receiving yards. Other than that, Demarco Murray, Tony Romo, and Jason Witten all struggled. Jamaal Charles had a solid but not spectacular game, and Dwayne Bowe had a nice 10 fantasy point day.

Chargers at Eagles: Michael Vick threw for 428 yards and 2 touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Chargers. DeSean Jackson had 193 yards receiving and a touchdown, he’s going to be a fantasy stud all season long. Philip Rivers was magnificent once again: 419 yards with 3 TD’s and no picks. Eddie Royal proved he was not a one week wonder as he scored another 2 touchdowns. He now leads the NFL with 4.

Ravens at Browns: The Ravens were just less bad than the Browns on Sunday; both teams were laughable offensively. Marlon Brown (one of the picks on “The Hail Mary” this week) had 10 fantasy points. If you listened and picked him up, you were not disappointed. Jordan Cameron, the HOT tight end for the week, also had a nice game, picking up 95 yards.

Tennessee at Houston: The Titans almost had this game in the bag, but couldn’t come up with it despite leading by 8 with 2 minutes to go. DeAndre Hopkins was the savior for Houston as he had 117 yards and a game winning touchdown. Ben Tate averaged 10.3 YPC and Arian Foster averaged 4.2; Tate is becoming an interesting Flex option in fantasy leagues now.
