Wrapping up: afternoon games

Packers vs. 49ers – Anquan Boldin, the winner of a poll on this very site earlier in the week, had a HUGE debut for the niners with 208 yards and a touchdown. Colin Kaepernick had over 400 yards passing, the first time a 49ers quarterback has reached that number since Tim Rattay in 2004. Both Frank Gore and Eddie Lacy had lackluster efforts rushing today, but they both found the end zone once and salvaged some fantasy value. Aaron Rodgers was the master of 3’s – 333 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Cardinals vs. Rams – Free agent acquisition Jared Cook was the star of the day for St. Louis, he had 141 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Larry Fitzgerald scored twice and now has half as many touchdowns in 2013 as he did in 2012. Even better news for Fitzgerald owners, he was targeted 14 times which means there will be more points in weeks to come. Michael Floyd had himself a solid game for Arizona as well, including a ridiculous one-handed catch.
